Based on the new PMBOK® Guide 6th Edition, the CAPM demonstrates your understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology, and processes of effective project management. CAPM is the starting point on a career in project management. The CAPM credential remains valid for a period of 5 years, then the holder either has to re-sit the exam or more usually take the PMP examination.
The CAPM credential serves as an unbiased endorsement of your project management knowledge and expertise. It identifies you to employers as a practitioner who has demonstrated knowledge of project management processes and techniques.
Obtaining your CAPM, along with over 30,000 other professionals worldwide, can go a long way toward enhancing your employment and getting you recognised in the workplace. To understand how the PMP compares to other certifications, visit our FAQ page.
